Replacement 'A Rated' Window

Double glazed windows can now be rated in the same way as white goods and other products are. A-rated windows are now considered best practice by the Energy Savings Trust, as they exploit much less energy, have less of an environmental impact as your home or business can be cheaper to run as a result of installation.

Changes to Building Regulations Document ‘L’ from 1st October 2010 require all new and replacement windows to achieve a WER (Window Energy Rating) of at least a ‘C’ rating or have a ‘U’ value of 1.6 W/m2K or lower. While these are minimum standards, choosing ‘A’ or ‘B’ rated windows will provide your home with significantly more energy savings and warmth benefits.
